Project 2 Assignment
Multimedia Development
Project 2
The purpose of this project is to examine the use of type in
a multimedia design project and using computer software, Adobe Illustrator.
Students will explore common variations in formatting and arranging type on a
page and understand the affects of these aesthetics in visual communication.
Material/Technology: Illustrator
3 images 900px x 900px
Guidelines:
1.
Select 1-2 typefaces.
2.
This project will exhibit only type. (You may
not use images).
3.
Create a typographic image through variations in
type hierarchy, size, proportion, format / italic and bold, alignment / left,
right, center, and justified.
4.
Make adjustments in type presentation using
tracking and kerning as well as shaping, layering, transparency, and opacity.
6.
Be creative. Explore design elements such as
composition, texture, pattern, line, point, and flow….
7.
You may use color for this project, however – I
recommend you stay monochromatic (one color), grayscale and accent, or sienna
and accent.
